Has it really been more than two months since I was last here? Insanity. I guess I just don't feel like blogging for the sake of blogging anymore. I don't feel as though I have anything relevant to say 97% of the time. Maybe I'll try and climb back into it for a while, but we'll see.
It's been a quiet summer thus far. A few trips down South, but while I was there I found myself missing this city something awful. Funny how it seeps into your bones when you least expect it.
We have two new additions to our little house: Miss Olive and Miss Boo Radley. [Yes, I know Boo Radley is a boy's name, but she doesn't mind.]
They're amazing, but quite demanding. Olive is about five months old, and Boo Radley is about nine months now. We got them from the city shelter in early June. I love them to bits, but they sound like a herd of elephants when they run across the floor. I don't think our downstairs neighbor is too thrilled, but we're going to get a rug. They're best pals, and Boo plays mommy to Olive. It's adorable.
Next month I'll be 24. I think we're going to take a roadtrip to New England - Maine or Vermont or something - to celebrate, as I've never been to New England, and it's been ages since we took a proper roadtrip. A nice end to the summer. A summer that already feels over for some reason; over before it even began, actually. I don't know why. I think it must have something to do with work and the city. I dreamed it was Thanksgiving the other night.
So anyway. I'm here. I'm alive. And if you know me, you know how to find me.

They don't come any cuter than Sylvester, Princess or Cassie-dog. My sweet babies back in North Carolina, who I miss like crazy. [I also miss Felix-cat, but I don't have a picture of him.] I can't wait to see my animals when I go home for Christmas.
